Victim Support Sweden – Minerva case management system
Minerva is Victim Support Sweden’s case management system. Integrated into the system is a a membership registry for our local offices and all supporting members, volunteers, staff and board members. It is a web based system, developed and built specifically for VS Sweden from scratch in Laravel and Vue. The search-, filtering- and statistics tools are powered by Elastic Search.
There are around 700 users in the system, around 120 of them are staff, the rest are volunteers.
The current system (November 2021) contains the case management for the main victim support services, but the witness support services (mainly present in the courts at trial) will get their own section to add their specific statistics during Q1 2022. A victim survey will be sent automatically from Minerva to all clients (except cases tagged with “high risk”) beginning January 2022. Other added features during the next year will include integrated chat tools, both a text chat and a video chat – as well as a translation tool. When the translation tool is finished, Minerva can be translated into English, which will make it easier for other organisations within the VSE network to view.
