The European Commission is currently conducting research on identity theft and identity-related crimes. VSE has been tasked with identifying best practices with regard to support for victims of identity theft and identity-related crimes.

If your organisation has experience with victim support for victims of identity theft and identity-related crimes, we would love it if you could answer the following questions:

    1. How many victims of identity theft has your organisation supported? In what way?

    2. What are the main differences between victims of identity theft compared to other groups of victims?

    3. What are the main problems victims of identity theft face? What are the barriers to accessing support?

    4. What are the priorities and best practices that should be implemented on an EU/national level? Which part of a victim’s journey from crime to justice should be a priority for the EU?

Please feel free to write down your answers as a comment to this post, or you can send them to me either in a private message or to [email protected].

    Many thanks!
