Training for embassies and consulates on cross border victims
We want to hear your views!
During the National Trainings with the EU Member States national teams, a concern was raised regarding some challenges of working with some Embassies of EU Member States, in cross-border cases. There may be some lack of understanding or not enough information of victims’ rights, EU law related to victims, and some difficulties in providing support.
Your perspectives are very useful for the European Commission to better understand the situation on the ground and hear from experts in the different EU Member States.
Can you please share – what is your experience with cross-border victims, seeking assistance from national diplomatic offices/consulates/embassies in a foreign country, or foreign diplomatic offices/consulates/embassies in their national country?
How can we promote the support for cross-border victims reaching-out to diplomatic offices/consulates/embassies of EU member states?
