INVICTM Tabletop exercise: Q&A with VSE Executive Director Levent Altan
In 2021, the UK National Police Wellbeing Service (Oscar Kilo) and The International Network Supporting Victims of Terrorism and Mass Violence (INVICTM) published the ‘Testing Counter Terrorism responses from a victim and member wellbeing perspective – Design of an International Tabletop exercise for law enforcement in Canada and the UK‘ report.
This report presents a summary of the 2021 International Virtual Counter Terrorism (CT) Tabletop Training (TTX) Exercise. This training exercise was designed to test out agencies’ response for victims and first responders, from a wellbeing and victims’ lens in a terrorist or mass violence incident.
In order to promote the launch of this report and facilitate the spread of its valuable content, Victim Support Europe conducted four recorded interviews with some of the authors of the report.

In this video VSE’s Executive Director Levent Altan answers the questions: “What logistical issues were identified with the delivery of the training? In addition to the learning outcomes and training design, the TTX involved several groups of experts, who were they and why were they chosen?”
